The guests appearing at the third Domannaka Anime Film Festival, which will be held at Midland Square Cinema (Nakamura Ward, Nagoya) in May, have been announced. It has been revealed that director Yoshikazu Yasuhiko and voice actress Mayumi Tanaka, who plays Seneca, will appear at the screening of "Arion" (1986) on May 16th.
The third installment will expand its scope to include works released in the 2000s, in addition to the 1980s, which has been the focus of previous installments. On May 16th, 4K remasters of "Space Runaway Ideon" (1982, directed by Yoshiyuki Tomino) and "Angel's Egg" (1985, directed by Mamoru Oshii) will also be screened. Anime critic Ryota Fujitsu will provide commentary on "Space Runaway Ideon," while music director Yoshihiro Kanno will appear for "Angel's Egg." A special feature, "Discussion on 80s Anime, Episode 1," will also be held, featuring guests Ryusuke Hikawa, Michihiko Suwa, Masuo Ueda, Hirotoshi Sano, and Run Sasaki.
On May 17th, " Crayon Shin-chan Shin-chan the Movie: Storm Called: Appare! Sengoku Daigassen" (2002, directed by Keiichi Hara) will be screened, with Misae's voice actress, Miki Narahashi, in attendance. Other screenings include "Metropolis" (2001, directed by Rintaro), with director Rintaro, producer Masao Maruyama, and saxophonist, composer, and arranger Toshiyuki Honda in attendance; "Grave of the Fireflies" (1988, directed by Isao Takahata), with editor Takeshi Seyama; and the complete version of "Mobile Suit Gundam F91" (1991, directed by Tomino), with voice actress Yumi Touma in attendance.
