The seventh episode of the popular TBS Sunday Theatre "Reboot" (Sundays at 9pm) starring Suzuki Ryohei was broadcast on March 8th. Many viewers were skeptical when Inspector Makita Masachika, played by Ito Hideaki, told Hayase (played by Suzuki), "The whale I'm targeting is Makita Yaichi."

At night, while Hayase was making sweets at Gido's (Suzuki) apartment, Makita came over. Hayase had seen Makita at Goroku's (Kitamura Yukiya) shop that day.
Hayase pointed out, "The man (I saw) is Makita Yaichi. He's the leader of the largest opposition party, and when I looked into it, I found out he's your brother. What does that mean?" Makita responded, "The whale I'm after is Makita Yaichi," revealing that Goroku is using a huge amount of secret funds to try to install Yaichi as the next prime minister.
When Hayase pressed him on whether he intended to arrest his own brother, Makita insisted, "It is heartbreaking. If we let him off the hook, the country will be taken over by Goroku's dirty money. For the sake of justice, I cannot overlook my brother's corruption."
Meanwhile, Makita points out that there is no sign that the 10 billion yen worth of goods that Ichika (Toda Erika) is said to have hidden has been converted into cash within the country. "Why don't we find them and return them to Goroku? The election is coming up. As soon as Goroku receives the money, he will immediately give it to Makita Yaichi," he suggests, urging Hayase to search for the location of the goods.
On social media, people were excited, saying things like, "When Hayase asked Makita, 'Are you planning to arrest your own brother?', his answer was very suspicious. There must be another reason," "Money from Goroku went to Yaichi, and then it went to Makita's younger brother, right? So that's why he's telling Hayase to find 10 billion yen and give it to Goroku?", "Inspector Makita can't be trusted after all," "In the end, it's starting to seem like Inspector Makita is not really on our side," and "Why is Makita in contact with Goroku?
