It has been announced that the TV anime series "Mou Ippon!", based on the judo manga by Yu Muraoka, will be broadcast on NHK Educational TV for two consecutive nights on March 12th and 13th. Episodes 1-6 will be broadcast from 12:45 AM on March 12th, and episodes 7-13 will be broadcast from 12:45 AM on the 13th. The series was originally broadcast on TV Tokyo and other networks from January to March 2023, and will now be broadcast in its entirety on NHK Educational TV.
"Moi Ippon!" depicts high school girls devoting their youth to judo. After failing to achieve results in her final junior high school tournament, Sonoda Michi plans to quit judo, but is persuaded by her best friend Takigawa Sanae and her final junior high school opponent, Hiura Towa, to continue judo in high school. The series began serialization in Weekly Shonen Champion (Akita Shoten) in October 2018, and moved to the manga site Manga Cross (now Champion Cross) in 2023. It ran until May 2024.
The anime is directed by Ken Ogiwara, who has worked on "Everything Becomes F: The Perfect Insider," and produced by BAKKEN RECORD.
