It has been announced that Yukishiro Chi's manga "Bone Dragon's Mana Daughter," currently serialized in "Monthly Comic Garden" and the manga site "MagComi" (both published by Mag Garden), will be adapted into a TV anime. The story is about a parent-child relationship that transcends species, between a young girl named Eve, abandoned in the Trashcan Forest, and an elderly dragon named Nemu, who is near death. The anime will be directed by Nishina Kuniyasu and produced by Doga Kobo. Kusanagi will be in charge of background art.
Original author Yukishiro Ichi commented, "When I heard that the series would be adapted into an anime, it didn't seem real and I was emotionally unsure of what to do. It feels like just the other day I was talking to my editor, who told me the reality of the deadline, 'It's still a long way off, so we'll just continue working on the manga.' I'd like to thank everyone who worked on the anime, everyone who worked on the original work, and all the readers who supported us. I hope you enjoy this anime, which has been made with passion from start to finish. I'm looking forward to it too."
A teaser visual featuring Eve and Nemu has been released.
