On March 4th, Nippon Television held a briefing at its headquarters (Minato Ward, Tokyo) regarding the April 2026 reorganization. The theme for the reorganization was "Watching with someone is the best thing to watch," and the company stated that it aims to increase the number of "Nippon Television fans."
Oi Hidekazu, head of the Content Strategy Bureau's General Programming Center, said that the goal for fiscal 2025 was to increase core audience ratings (ages 13 to 49) compared to the previous year, but added, "Unfortunately, we did not reach that target. With people increasingly turning away from television, it may seem difficult to surpass the previous year, but speaking specifically of 2025, TBS achieved it. I believe that if we can deliver good content, it is not an achievable goal. We have compiled the timetable with the goal of surpassing the previous year's."
He also said, "I honestly feel that there is a slight decline in support (from Nippon Television)," and expressed his enthusiasm, saying, "I would like to provide content that delivers newness, ask for everyone's support, and increase the number of fans."
"Friday Mystery Club!!!" (starting April 17th) is a new variety show that the whole family can enjoy, airing Fridays from 7:00 PM to 7:56 PM. Kazunari Ninomiya and Nobu from the comedy duo "Chidori" will appear regularly, and the show will be a "discussion variety" in which participants will pose questions about mysterious events from around the world, and try to deduce the truth behind the mysteries by watching actual footage and reenactments.
From 12:24 to 12:54 a.m. on Tuesdays, a new music program called "Yoru no Oto - TOKYO MIDNIGHT MUSIC -" (starting April 7th) will begin, hosted by Fuma Kikuchi of "timelesz." Regarding the aim of programming in this time slot, Director Ooi explained, "Many new songs are released on Wednesdays, so we aimed to deliver the program at that time."
The currently airing music program "with MUSIC" (Saturdays 10:00 PM - 10:54 PM) will end, and a new news program (title undecided) will start in the following slot. This will be the first time a news program has been launched on the station in about 24 years since "The Truth Report Bankisha!" (Sundays 6:00 PM). Details will be announced at a later date.
The revision rate was 6.6% for all day (6:00 AM to midnight), 11.1% for golden time (7:00 PM to 10:00 PM), and 14.8% for prime time (7:00 PM to 11:00 PM) (for the October 2025 period, revisions were 3.6% for all day, 4.3% for golden time, and 12.9% for prime time).
