It has been announced that the second season of "Magical Sisters Lulu Lily," the latest TV anime in Pierrot's magical girl series, will begin airing in October. A teaser visual for the second season has been released, featuring the sisters Fuu and Ryuu, along with a giant hourglass.
In the second season, idol otaku Asahi Araki will join Production Once More. Kyori Nemoto, who plays Asahi, commented, "I've seen people on the internet discussing how intensely passionate the fan (Asahi) is, and I've secretly enjoyed it (laughs). I'm happy to finally be able to officially announce that I'll be playing Asahi, and I'll be determined to work hard to become a proper member of Production Once More. I myself am still chasing my dreams, so I hope to be able to express those feelings and passion together with Asahi! Thank you for your support!"
"Magical Sisters Lulu Lily" depicts the story of two sisters, Fuu Nonoyama, an innocent elementary school student, and Ryuu Nonoyama, a modest but hardworking middle school student, as they use their magical powers to become idols. This is the first new TV anime in the Pierrot Magical Girl series in approximately 28 years, since the fifth installment, "Magical Stage Fancy Lala," which aired in 1998. The first season began airing in April, and the final episode aired on TOKYO MX on June 21st.
