To commemorate the release of the latest volume 3 of Shuichi Shigeno Shigeno's manga "Subaru and Subaru " (Subaru and Comet), known for works such as " Initial D" and "MF Ghost ," a free two-volume campaign is being held on the website "Yanmaga Web" of the magazine in which it is serialized, "Young Magazine" (Kodansha). The campaign runs until June 28th.
" Subaru and Subaru" is a manga that follows "Initial D" and its "successor" "MF Ghost." The story follows Kanata Rivington, a student of Takumi Fujiwara Kanata Rivington, who dominated the MFG street races the following year, as Sato Subaru from Gunma and Kudo Comet from Kanagawa burn with fighting spirit to challenge the races. The worldviews of "Initial D" and "MF Ghost" overlap, depicting the "true legend of the fastest street racer" by the two "Subarus."
The series began serialization in "Young Magazine" in July 2025. The total number of comic book copies sold exceeds 550,000.
