The 20th episode of "Detective Precure!", the 23rd installment of the popular anime "Precure" series, titled "The Legend of a Certain Island," will air on ABC TV and TV Asahi on June 14th at 8:30 AM.
A letter arrives at the Kyutto Detective Agency pleading for help, stating that "the island might disappear if things continue like this," so Anna and Mikuru board a boat and head to an island called Jiei Island. Anna and Mikuru are greeted by the island's village chief, who is the sender of the letter. The island has a song about fairies, and there is a legend that the island will disappear if a fairy appears.
Three days ago, logs for splitting firewood were scattered, and this morning, the village chief's face was vandalized with graffiti. Both incidents mirrored the lyrics of a song, which continued, "When the manju disappears, the hands of the clock start moving again, and finally the island disappears too." Determined to unravel the secret of the song, Anna and Mikuru meet a turtle that is said to be over 100 years old and use Pre-Kit Gummy to hear its story.
However, according to Kame, nothing has changed on the island since ancient times, except that the island's name has changed from "Manjujima" (Manju Island) to "Jieito" (Jiei Island). Meanwhile, an incident occurs at the village chief's house where the manju (sweet buns) that the chief had secretly hidden for his granddaughters' snacks have gone missing.
The motif of "Detective Precure!" is "detective," and the theme is "seeing, feeling, and thinking for yourself to find the 'real' answer." The main characters are girls who work as detectives with the desire to "help people in need," and guided by a mysterious power, the main character time-slips from the present day of 2027 to 1999. A story of new encounters, friendships, and growth for the Precure transcends time.
Hikari Chiga will appear as Cure Answer/Anna Akechi, Kaede Hondo as Cure Mystic/Mikuru Kobayashi, and Nao Toyama as Cure Arcana Shadow/Ruruka Mori. It has also been announced that the mysterious Pretty Cure Cure Eclair, whose true identity is unknown, will make an appearance.
