TV Tokyo's popular information variety program, "Shutsugen! Admatic Tengoku" (Saturdays at 9 PM), will feature "30 Years of Ikebukuro" as the final chapter of its Seibu Line series in its June 13th broadcast.
Ikebukuro is a "giant terminal" that serves as a gateway from Saitama to Tokyo, and continues to transmit a variety of cultures. The program will play back 30 years of nostalgic footage that colored the Heisei era, such as "Bukuro Gal," and broadcast the latest trends of the Reiwa era.
The program features popular gourmet foods loved throughout the Showa, Heisei, and Reiwa eras, such as constellation parfaits, swimming crab pasta, and "bakudan-yaki" (a type of grilled food). It also explores the current state of books from 24 years ago at Japan's largest bookstore, the resurgence of knitting classes at craft stores, and the fiercely competitive area of electronics retailers, including a famous song.
Furthermore, the program features "emotional" photo booth pictures with retro Heisei-era image quality, an aquarium that has shifted from a cute to a cool style, a ramen battleground, and even rare footage of a god from 30 years ago.
