The ninth episode of the drama series "Aku no Hana" (The Flowers of Evil), starring actor Fuku Suzuki and singer Ano (aka "Ano-chan"), will air on June 4th at midnight on TV Tokyo and other channels. Kasuga (Suzuki) encounters Tokiwa (Aruno Nakanishi), who has a copy of "Aku no Hana," and their relationship grows closer through lending and borrowing books... The preview is described as "What is Tokiwa's secret that only Kasuga has seen?"
The drama is based on the manga of the same name by Shuzo Oshimi, which was serialized in "Bessatsu Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha) from 2009 to 2014, recorded a cumulative circulation of 3.25 million copies, and was nominated for the "Manga Taisho" award. It depicts the "reckless behavior" of adolescent boys and girls.
In episode 9, Kasuga gets into trouble with some delinquents, expresses his feelings, and is overcome with despair.
On his way home, Kasuga sees Tokiwa holding a copy of Baudelaire's "The Flowers of Evil." Recalling their middle school days, Kasuga feels a sense of destiny and impulsively calls out to Tokiwa. Their shared love of books brings them closer together. One day, Kasuga notices a book written by Tokiwa in her room. Desperate to read it, he asks her if he can have it, when Tokiwa's boyfriend contacts him…
