It has been revealed that "Snowball Earth," a TV anime based on the manga by Yuhiro Tsuji, which is serialized in "Monthly Spirits" (Shogakukan), and "Bang Brave Bang Bravern, " a TV anime directed by Masami Obari, who is also known as the "master of robot anime," have collaborated. A collaboration illustration drawn by Obari and a collaboration manga drawn by Tsuji have been released.
The collaborative illustration features two robots, Yukio from "Snowball Earth" and Bravern from " Bang Brave Bang Bravern, " side by side, with the robot sword style and the courage sword style clashing. The collaborative manga depicts Bravern and its pilot, Isami, suddenly arriving on Snowball Earth, an Earth covered in snow and ice, where Yukio and Bravern, who share a common "overflowing love for their pilots," meet... realizing a "dream robot collaboration."
"Bang Brave Bang Bravern" is a robot anime planned by Cygames and directed by Masami Ohbari, with production by CygamesPictures. The story follows Isami, a member of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, as he is bewildered by the sudden appearance of Bravern when a mysterious enemy attacks, but fights to save the world. It aired from January to March 2024.
"Snowball Earth" is a sci-fi x monster x robot action series set on Snowball Earth, an Earth covered in snow and ice. The story follows Tetsuo, a shy boy, and his giant robot partner Yukio, as they return to Earth 10 years after a final battle for the survival of humanity, only to find it frozen solid. It airs every Friday at 11:30 PM on Nippon Television's anime block "FRIDAY ANIME NIGHT (FuraAni)".
