The NHK Taiga drama "BROTHERS IN ARMS (Toyotomi Brothers!)", starring actor Taiga Nakano (NHK General, Sundays at 8 PM, etc.), will feature Kosei Yuki as Oda Nobutaka starting from episode 19, "An Assassin from the Past," airing on May 17th. This was announced on the drama's official social media accounts.
"BROTHERS IN ARMS (Toyotomi Brothers!)" is the 65th Taiga drama. With Toyotomi Hidenaga (Koichiro) as the protagonist, it depicts the miraculous feat of unifying Japan together with his older brother Hideyoshi (Tokichiro) through their strong bond, a success story of dreams and hopes.
The script is written by Hiroyuki Yatsu, known for his work on "Hanzawa Naoki" (TBS) and the Asadora drama series "Ochoyan." The music is composed by Hideaki Kimura, and the narration is provided by actress Sakura Ando.
Oda Nobutaka was Nobunaga's third son. Along with his older brother Nobutada, who inherited the family headship, he was a key figure in Nobunaga's unification of Japan. He learned of the Honnō-ji Incident while he was on an expedition to Shikoku at his father's command.
This will be Yuki's first appearance in a Taiga drama, playing the role of Nobutaka.
