Actor Tomohisa Yamashita appeared at the opening day stage greeting for his starring film "Shijiki Fudosan" (directed by Taisuke Kawamura) held in Tokyo on May 15th. He hinted at the possibility of a sequel, saying, "Honestly, I want to see everyone again."
The series is based on the manga of the same name serialized in "Big Comic" (Shogakukan). It's a social comedy about Nagase Zaichi (Yamashita), a real estate salesman who, after a strange turn of events, can no longer lie, and who uses only his honesty and integrity as weapons to delve into the "dark side" of the real estate industry. The TV series aired on NHK in 2022, followed by a special drama and a second season of the TV series in 2024.
Yamashita commented with joy, "Including the planning stage, I've been involved for about five years, and when the drama started, I never dreamed that I would be able to meet everyone in the theater like this. I'm just so happy." When asked what he would honestly like to do, in keeping with the title, he said, "Just a moment ago backstage we were talking about how this might be the last time, but honestly, I want to see everyone again."
Shinobu Hasegawa of the comedy duo "Sissonne," who played Nagase's boss, Masumi Taiga, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, "Honestly, I'd like it to have a longer run, whether it's a movie or a drama, and I hope it can run for a long time and become like 'Sazae-san'." When the MC brought up the phrase "a national series," he said with conviction, "I said it. It will become a national real estate series. That's our goal."
Haruka Fukuhara, Hayato Ichihara, Rika Izumi, Rika Izumi, Katsunori Takahashi, Mao Daichi from "KEY TO LIT," and director Kawamura also appeared at the event.
