The 12th episode of "Detective Precure!", the 23rd installment of the popular anime "Precure" series, titled "The Secret of Cure Arcana Shadow," will air on ABC TV and TV Asahi on April 26th at 8:30 AM.
At a family restaurant in the shopping district, Anna and Mikuru hear that a 5-year-old boy named Reiji's cherished robot doll has gone missing, so they go to look for it. When the two solve the mystery, they discover that the thief was actually Niji, who was in disguise. Revealing his true identity, Niji grabs the doll and runs out of the restaurant.
Anna and the others chase after Niji into the shopping district. When Niji transforms a robot doll into a Hanninda, Anna and Mikuru also transform into Detective Pretty Cure and confront him, but then Ruruka arrives with Mashutan. Hearing from Mashutan that "Usonoir is on his way," Niji panics, saying "the world might be destroyed." Ruruka agrees and transforms into Cure Arcana Shadow, cornering Cure Answer and Cure Mystic.
The motif of "Detective Precure!" is "detective," and the theme is "seeing, feeling, and thinking for yourself to find the 'real' answer." The main characters are girls who work as detectives with the desire to "help people in need," and guided by a mysterious power, the main character time-slips from the present day of 2027 to 1999. A story of new encounters, friendships, and growth for the Precure transcends time.
Hikari Chiga will appear as Cure Answer/Anna Akechi, Kaede Hondo as Cure Mystic/Mikuru Kobayashi, and Nao Toyama as Cure Arcana Shadow/Aruru Mori. It has also been announced that the mysterious Pretty Cure, Cure Eclair, whose true identity is unknown, will make an appearance.
