Episode 4, "The Bell-Rinkyo Incident," of the TV anime "MAO," based on the latest work by Rumiko Takahashi , known for manga such as " Urusei Yatsura ," "Ranma 1/2," and "Inuyasha," will be broadcast on NHK General on April 25th at 11:45 PM.
Nanaka and Otsuya infiltrate the Shōrin Sect, which seems to be connected to the Cat Demon. In the basement, they find a manuscript of sorcery, but it does not contain any instructions on how to manipulate people's lifespans. Then, the sect's leader, Shōko, locks the two of them in the basement.
The original manga has been serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" (Shogakukan) since May 2019. Set in the Taisho era, it's a dark fantasy x time-slip mystery about Mao, an onmyoji (exorcist) who has lived for 900 years, who meets Kiyoha Nanaka, a girl who has wandered in from the Reiwa era, and together they confront a chain of curses. The anime is directed by Teruo Sato and produced by Sunrise. It will be broadcast for two consecutive seasons.
