Kento Nakajima, a solo artist and actor, attended a preview screening of NHK's Drama 10 series "Convenience Store Brothers: Tenderness Mojiko Kogane Village Branch" at the NHK Broadcasting Center in Shibuya, Tokyo on April 21st. He expressed confidence in his role as a super-handsome convenience store manager in the series.
Nakajima, who greeted the audience with "Welcome everyone," in keeping with her role, expressed her joy, saying, "I was so happy to be able to appear in an NHK drama, which I've always admired."
In this film, Nakajima plays Mitsuhiko Shiwa, a super-handsome convenience store manager who exudes pheromones like a spring. Nakajima said with confidence, "When I received the offer for this role, I actually read the book (the original work). It said 'super-handsome store manager,' so I thought, 'This is me.'"
She further added, "For a long time in my life, I've used the word 'sexy' as my catchphrase, but I guess after sexy it's 'pheromones.' I realized that I can't escape the fate of these words," which drew laughter from the audience.
When asked how to exude pheromones, she replied, "I think it's all about being healthy." She continued, "I do stretching and muscle training between takes. It's about having the confidence to stand strong on set. I think pheromones are born from confidence." Her co-star, Rena Tanaka, was impressed, saying, "That's a great quote."
Fuku Suzuki and screenwriter Nonji Nemoto also attended the press conference.
The drama is based on the novel of the same name by Sonoko Machida. Set in the convenience store "Tenderness Mojiko Koganemura Store" in Mojiko, Kitakyushu City, it is a heartwarming and mysterious human comedy in which the super-handsome store manager, Mitsuhiko Shiwa, and the mysterious man, Nihiko Shiwa, solve various impossible problems.
