On April 12th, the idol group Sakurazaka46 announced that they will be holding the first-ever Asian tour for the Sakamichi Group in 2027. The announcement was made as a surprise at the end of their 5th anniversary concert, "5th YEAR ANNIVERSARY LIVE," held that same day at MUFG Stadium (National Stadium, Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo), and was met with thunderous applause from the audience.
The "5th YEAR ANNIVERSARY LIVE," held over two days on April 11th and 12th, attracted approximately 140,000 people, the largest audience to date. Five and a half years after changing their name from their predecessor, "Keyakizaka46," the group is gaining even more momentum.
After the show, it was surprisingly announced that, in addition to the upcoming Asian tour, the Sakamichi Group would be releasing their first double A-side single, "Lonesome rabbit/What's “KAZOKU”?", on June 10th. "What's “KAZOKU”?" is the opening theme for the second season of the anime series "Mission: Yozakura Family," which will begin airing on April 12th.
Furthermore, an arena tour consisting of 12 performances across 6 cities nationwide has been announced, starting in July. It was also announced that the "6th YEAR ANNIVERSARY LIVE" will be held at ZOZO Marine Stadium (Mihama Ward, Chiba City) in November.
