Prime 1 Studio has released a show on YouTube called "NEXT LEVEL SHOWCASE XVII: VISIONS OF THE REALMS," in which they have unveiled new statues based on games, anime, movies, and manga.
The program featured a life-size figure of Motoko Kusanagi from the anime "Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex," titled "Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex Motoko Kusanagi 1/1 Scale Figure" (1.32 million yen). Pre-orders will begin on April 10th at 3 PM.
An exclusive interview with sculptor Entei Ryu is also available. He discusses his sculpting philosophy and expressive approach to translating the original image into three dimensions, including his work on character statues of characters such as Motoko Kusanagi. The interview offers a glimpse into his thought process for elevating a two-dimensional image into three dimensions, including the character's posture, proportion adjustments, and the challenge of original color expression.
The program featured a review of the new statue, explaining how the sculpting, posing, presentation, and the world and characters of the work were expressed in three dimensions.
To commemorate the release of the program, a social media campaign, "NEXT LEVEL SHOWCASE: XVII Impression Posting Campaign," will also be held. Follow the official account and post your thoughts on the program with the hashtag "#NLSXVII_ImpressionPostingCampaign" for a chance to win one of 10 50% off coupons usable on the Prime 1 Studio official website.
