Actress Rina Kawaei announced her divorce on April 10th via her Instagram account (@rina_kawaei.official). Her ex-husband, actor Tomoki Hirose, also announced the divorce on the same day via his Instagram account (@hirose_tomoki.0214).
Kawaei wrote, "I am sorry to announce this personal matter, but we have decided to end our marriage and go our separate ways." "I will continue to work hard as an actress and as a mother." "I would appreciate your continued warm support."
Hirose wrote, "I am deeply grateful for having walked through life together with her and for the blessing of our beloved children. My respect for her attitude towards her work remains unchanged. Going forward, we will build a new relationship and raise our children together as parents. I will continue to work diligently as an actor, and I would appreciate your warm support."
Kawaei and Hirose announced their marriage in May 2019. They announced the birth of their first child in November of the same year, and their second child in June 2023.
