It has been announced that a plastic model kit of the Dizard, a mecha from the popular 1980s anime "Heavy Metal L-Gaim," will be released by Bandai Spirits as the "HG 1/144 Dizard" in their "HG" series. The price is 3850 yen.
The Dizard, a mass-produced red heavy metal based on the L-Gaim, is brought to life with a completely new sculpt. The red-based coloring is reproduced through molded colors and part separation. The rear light boosters are deployable, and the power launcher cables are made of soft material.
The waist area uses plastic stickers, and the head visor's illuminated color can be reproduced with foil stickers. Soft resin is used for the power pipes on the arms and legs, and the random slates on the legs expand widely in conjunction with the internal cylinders. A power launcher, binders, saber, and a complete set of S-mines are included.
Pre-orders will be accepted from noon on April 10th at "Premium Bandai," the shopping site of the Bandai Namco Group. Shipping is scheduled for September.
