To commemorate the release of the latest theatrical film in the popular anime series " Detective Conan, " based on the manga by Gosho Aoyama , " Detective Conan: Fallen Angel on the Highway" (directed by Takahiro Hasui, opening April 10th), it has been announced that the April 15th issue (No. 2492) of the women's magazine "anan" (Magazine House) will be "taken over." The back cover features Kenji Hagiwara and Jinpei Matsuda, who died in the line of duty in a bombing incident, in their former selves. In stark contrast to the front cover, the two are depicted resting back to back in a garage bathed in the setting sun, their faces softened.
This issue features "Detective Conan: The Fallen Angel on the Highway." Titled "A Detective Conan Movie Lecture for Adults," it introduces the highlights and features of the latest film. In particular, it focuses on the scenes involving vehicles such as motorcycles and cars, and on Chihaya Hagiwara, one of the key characters. Interviews with Miyuki Sawashiro, who plays Chihaya Hagiwara, Akio Otsuka Otsuka, who plays Shigeo Yokomizo, and Masatomo Sudo, the character designer and chief animation director, are also included.
In "Detective Conan: Fallen Angel on the Highway," the setting is Yokohama, where Conan and his friends are visiting the Kanagawa Motorcycle Festival when a mysterious black motorcycle suddenly appears, speeding out of control. Chasing it is Chihaya Hagiwara, a police officer from the Kanagawa Prefectural Police Traffic Mobile Unit, whom Ran had seen before and known as the "Goddess of Wind." Later at the festival, the latest technology-equipped police motorcycle, "Angel," is unveiled. Meanwhile, in Tokyo, a black motorcycle ("Lucifer") goes on a rampage. Ryusei Yokohama and Mei Hata make guest voice appearances.
