To commemorate the broadcast of "Diamond no A actII -Second Season-," the sequel to the TV anime " Ace of Diamond A actII," which is based on the second part of Yuji Terajima 's popular baseball manga " Ace of Diamond A ," a special program titled "[Sports Real Live Emergency Project] Exploring the Charm of ' Ace of Diamond A', the Origin of Professional Baseball Star Players!" will be broadcast on TV Tokyo and its affiliates from 11 PM on April 4th.
In a special program collaborating with the network's sports news program "SPORTS Real & Live," five star players—Koudai Senga of the New York Mets, Yuki Yanagita of the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks, Kenta Maeda of the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles, Masanori Ishikawa of the Tokyo Yakult Swallows, and Yoshitomo Tsutsugo of the Yokohama DeNA BayStars—will passionately discuss the appeal of "Ace of Diamond " as their "origin." They will also reveal behind-the-scenes stories from their high school baseball days, the setting of the story.
Ryota Osaka , the voice actor who plays the main character Eijun Sawamura in the anime series " Ace of Diamond ," will be providing the narration.
" Ace of Diamond" began serialization in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha) in 2006. The second part, "Ace of Diamond actII," was serialized in the same magazine from 2015 to 2022. The story follows the protagonist, Eijun Sawamura, as he enrolls in Seidou High School, a prestigious high school baseball school, and aims for the top of the national high school baseball championship with Kazuya Miyuki, Satoru Furuya, Haruichi Kominato, and others in the baseball club.
"Ace of Diamond actII -Second Season-" is a sequel to the TV anime "Ace of Diamond actII," which aired from April 2019 to March 2020, approximately six years later. It will begin airing on TV Tokyo and other networks from April 5th.
