The NHK Asadora drama series "Kaze,Kaoru " (NHK General, Monday-Saturday 8:00 AM, etc.), starring Ai Mikami and Juri Kosaka , will begin airing on March 30th. This 114th Asadora is based on the story of two trained nurses (nurses formally trained in the Meiji era), Chika Ozeki and Masa Suzuki. Here, we introduce Fumiko Yanagawa, played by Chikako Uchida.
Fumiko Yanagawa is a shop assistant at "Mizuho-ya," a store in Nihonbashi that deals extensively in imported goods. She knows the store's products better than anyone and is also adept at serving foreign customers.
This marks Uchida's first appearance in a Asadora in 11 years, since "Mare" (first half of 2015).
"Kaze,Kaoru" depicts the story of two women who graduated from the same nursing school, struggling with how to interact with patients and doctors, clashing with each other, growing as individuals, and eventually becoming the "ultimate buddy duo." Mikami plays the main character, Ichinose Rin, and Uesaka plays the other main character, Oya Naomi.
The script is written by Tomoko Yoshizawa, who has worked on a wide range of genres, from comedies and family dramas to medical dramas and period dramas. The theme song is "Kaze to Machi" by the three-member band "Mrs. Green Apple".
