It was revealed on March 26th that Ruu Kitazato, who gained attention for her role as a student in the drama series "We Still Don't Know the School Rules of That Planet(Bokuhoshi)" (Kansai TV/Fuji TV), which aired in July last year, will be a regular cast member in the drama series "Error" (ABC TV/TV Asahi, Sundays at 10:15 PM), which starts on April 12th.
Kitazato was born on July 30, 2009, and is a 16-year-old from Kumamoto Prefecture. Since July 2025, she has been an exclusive model for the women's fashion magazine "Ray" (DONUTS).
"Error" is a human suspense drama starring Mei Hata and Mirai Shida. The story follows Yume Nakata (Hata), who suffers from guilt after causing the death of a woman, and Mio Osako (Shida), the woman's daughter who has lost the will to live. The two meet by chance and develop a friendship without knowing the truth... The original story is by Sakiko Yashiro, the screenwriter of the NHK drama "30 Million," which won the Galaxy Award Monthly Prize.
Kitazato plays Kondo Sakura, the only daughter of a man who was present at the scene of Mio's mother's fall and is now in critical condition. Carrying her father, who is unconscious, and her mother, who is in a state of exhaustion, she feels indignant that her own innocent life is also being put on the brink of ruin, and harbors an unreasonable hatred for Mio's mother, who is the root cause of the problem, and also for Mio herself. Her words and actions are always rebellious. She speaks her mind bluntly, even about things that are difficult to say, and toys with the adults around her. She also treats her own mother coldly, but the reason for this is... She is also a classmate of Yume's younger brother, Taro (Sakamoto Aito).
Kitazato commented, "I felt it was a very important role, and while I was happy, I also felt a lot of tension. Nevertheless, I approached it with the desire to properly portray the character of Kondo Sakura. How do people cope when they make an irreparable mistake? What kind of feelings do they have towards adults? I think this is a work that will allow viewers to think deeply from various angles."
