It has been announced that Doga Kobo, the animation Doga Kobo known for anime such as "NEW GAME!" and "Oshi no Ko," will produce an original TV anime series called "Möbius Dust," which is scheduled to air in 2026. Taro Iwasaki, known for "Sweetness and Lightning" and "The Bookworm Princess," will direct the series, and Yoriko Tomita, known for " My Dress-up Darling" and "The Elusive Samurai," will be in charge of series composition.
The film is based on the original story of the same name by Shinagawa Hajime, which won the grand prize in the "Kids/Game Anime" category of the third "Project ANIMA" open call for original anime works, and depicts high school students living in a downtown area.
A teaser visual has been released featuring the tagline, "This is our everyday life," depicting scenes from the daily lives of the main characters, Araki, Stella, and Olga. The teaser PV also shows some intriguing scenes, suggesting that much remains unsaid at this stage.
