It has been announced that the Japanese version of "Smoke," the first full-color manga by manga artist Ito Ogure, known for works such as "Air Gear" and "Tenjho Tenge," will be released on May 15th. The work was first released in France as a bande dessinée (French-language comic) and will now be released in Japan as well. Beautiful illustrations showcasing Ohgure's overwhelming artistic skill have been released.
This work is an ambitious project that Ohgure created by "steadily working on it" while simultaneously serializing his latest work, "Kaijin Fugeki," in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha).
Set in a far-future world where AI and humans coexist and "humanity" has been ostracized, the story follows a man who embarks on a perilous journey in search of the legendary "cigarette."
