The ninth episode of the TBS Sunday drama "Reboot," starring Ryohei Suzuki, aired on March 22nd (Sundays at 9 PM). Before the drama aired, a line spoken by Kiriya (Ryoka Fujisawa) on the official Twitter account (@reboot_tbs), "Should we bury this one too?", sparked a flurry of fan discussions on social media.
◇The following contains spoilers.
On January 10th, the official X account posted a video introducing Kiriya's character. The video showed Kiriya with a happy expression saying, "Should I bury this one too?" However, this scene had not appeared in the game until now, which became a topic of discussion on social media.
Towards the end of episode 9, Hayase (Suzuki), who was being held captive by Fuyuhashi (Nagase Ren), pleaded, "Just pretend I was killed here and let me go. Do you think Machi (Ueno Suzuka) would be happy if this happened?" Fuyuhashi then changed his expression and said, "I cannot disobey Goroku's (Kitamura Yukiya) orders in order to fulfill Machi's dream. We will make it seem like you escaped on your own," and tried to release Hayase from his restraints. However, at that moment, Kiriya and Kikuchi (Tsukaji Takeya) burst in.
As Kikuchi's henchmen pointed their guns at Fuyuhashi and Hayase, two gunshots rang out, and the broadcast ended. Social media was buzzing with comments such as, "(Kiriya's) last outfit this time is the same as when she said 'Shall we bury this one too?'", "Oh, that's right! Kiriya hasn't said 'Shall we bury this one too?' yet!", "I believe that Ryo-chan was the one who made those gunshots. And I predict it will lead to that famous 'Shall we bury this one too?'", and "That crazy 'Shall we bury this one too!' is still to come, so I can't wait for next week."
In the special video posted on the official X account on January 1st, there was a scene in which Kiriya points a gun at Kikuchi, and on social media there were comments such as, "We'll finally get to see if they bury him next time too, Kiriya. It's exciting that he's joining the team here," and "The scene where he points the gun at Kikuchi is definitely from next week's episode, so it's okay. I was wondering when this would appear, but I never imagined it would be in the final episode."
