On March 12th, TV Tokyo held a program lineup briefing for the April 2026 period at its headquarters (Minato Ward, Tokyo). The company sees the changes in the environment as an opportunity and is working hard to "create content that is needed and relevant to viewers."
In the variety show category, Kazulaser will host "The No. 1 You Don't Know - The Chosen Top Sama" (Thursdays at 7:54 p.m.). This documentary variety show will begin on April 16th, where people working in the same industry will search for the true number one, who they recommend as "this person (thing or place) is in a class of their own."
In addition, there is a website called "Payslips from around the world: How do they compare to Japan?" that directly asks people from around the world about their salaries.

A new economics program, "Unparalleled: From Japan to the World" (Wednesdays at 11:06 p.m.), hosted by Wakabayashi Masayasu of the comedy duo "Audrey," has begun, while the economics talk show "Cambrian Palace" (TV Tokyo, Thursdays at 11:06 p.m.) will welcome author Kanehara Hitomi and music creator Hyadain as new MCs, undergoing a major overhaul to mark the 20th anniversary of its broadcast.
Dramas starting soon include "Detective Back to Square One" (Fridays at 9pm) starring Hamada Gaku, the popular series "The Kodoku no Gourmet Season 11" starring Matsushige Yutaka (Fridays at 12:12am), and "Aku no Hana" (Thursdays at midnight) starring Fuku Suzuki and Ano.
In the anime category, the TV anime "Kill Ao" (Saturdays at 11 p.m.), based on the latest work by Tadatoshi Fujimaki, known for the popular manga "Kuroko's Basketball," will start on April 11, the special short anime program "Animori!" (Sundays at 7 a.m.) will start on April 12, and the latest in the "Pretty Series," "Onegai AiPuri" (Sundays at 9:30 a.m.) will start on April 5.
The rescheduling rate was 14.3% in the golden time slot (7pm to 10pm), 11.2% in the prime time slot (7pm to 11pm), and 10.2% in the all-day time slot (6am to midnight).
