To commemorate the 5th anniversary of the broadcast of the TV anime "Fushigi Dagashiya Zenitendo" (NHK Educational TV), which is based on a popular children's book series, a music video (MV) has been released on YouTube to coincide with "Dagashi Day" on March 12th, looking back on famous scenes from the past 5 years.

The music video features the opening theme "Kiso Tengai Fushigi wo Douzo" by Noda Manami. While the 60-second version is used in the anime's regular broadcast, you can now enjoy the full version. Comprised of carefully selected scenes from the 148 episodes that aired over the course of approximately five years, it depicts characters whose lives begin to move forward positively after meeting Beniko and getting their hands on the mysterious candy. In the second half, some characters meet unfortunate ends due to the power of the candy or their own choices. The video is packed with the charm of "Zeni-Tendo," whose magical powers can bring good or bad luck depending on how they are used.

Official X is also running a campaign in which 15 people will be randomly selected to win one of the three new books released in February: "Dream Dome," "Bilingual Girl," or "Rapunzel Pretzel."

"The Fushigi Dagashiya Zenitendo" is a popular children's book series written by Reiko Hiroshima and illustrated by jyajya. The story is set in Zeni-tendo, a mysterious candy shop that changes the fate of anyone who buys sweets from it, and follows the story of the owner, Beniko, and her customers. An animated film was screened at the Toei Manga Matsuri in 2020, and a TV anime adaptation began airing in September 2020. It airs on NHK Educational TV every Friday at 6:40 pm and every Saturday at 5:45 pm.
