"The Uncertain Courtroom of Themis" is based on a unique legal mystery by Sho Naoshima. It is a courtroom drama about a judge with a developmental disorder who struggles with his own unique characteristics while taking on complex cases. The screenplay is written by Hideya Hamada, who has also written the Fuji TV series "Ichikei no Karasu" and the "Absolute Zero" series.
The subtitle of episode 7 is "Court-Led Ex officio Principle." The retrial hearing is stalled because the prosecution is refusing to disclose evidence. Presiding Judge Kadokura (Kenichi Endo) invokes ex officio principle and makes the unusual decision to have the court take the lead in finding new evidence. Meanwhile, the court receives information that may be related to the case.
Among them, Ando (Matsuyama) becomes intrigued by information about another incident that seems clearly unrelated, and together with Onozaki (Yui Narumi), he visits the victim's father, Hatori (Tanabe Seiichi).
However, as the investigation progresses, an unexpected call comes in... and so the story unfolds.
