The 102nd episode of the NHK morning drama "Bakebake" (General TV, Monday to Saturday 8:00 AM and others), starring Takaishi Akari, was broadcast on February 24th. In this episode, the mysterious woman Yoshino Ise, played by Imo Yu, made her first appearance, drawing the attention of viewers.
In episode 102, Heaven (Tommy Bastow) receives a money order from the United States. It is the fee for a manuscript that Heaven wrote, a large sum of 80 yen. Everyone is surprised by the amount, which is greater than they expected, and Heaven declares that from now on, he will earn money by writing works. However, he has more school work than he expected, and Heaven becomes frustrated that he cannot write and takes it out on his family. Toki (Takaishi) suggests to everyone that they help Heaven with her writing. Like Nishikori (Yoshizawa Ryo), they decide to support Heaven in her search for a topic... and so the story unfolds.
One day, when Toki goes to a bookstore with Fumi (Ikewaki Chizuru), she finds Takeru (Sugita Rairin) and Masaki (Hidaka Yukito) also there, looking for books that Heaven might be interested in.
On their way home, Toki and Fumi come across a small Jizo statue and pray to it, hoping to find a good subject. Then, a mysterious woman named Ise, clad in a dark aura, approaches and asks, "You're a rickshaw puller, right?" When the rickshaw puller, Nagami (Onishi Nobumitsu), responds, "Yes, but..." she asks, "There's a legend that if you pray to Jizo statues saying you're a rickshaw puller, your wish will not come true... but did you know that?"
Nagami denies that he was just rubbing his hands and not praying, but Ise replies, "Liars... will become snakes in the next life." Toki shows interest, saying, "What? This guy... is interesting," and "Heaven, don't you think he'll like it?", but Fumi seems to be frightened of Ise, saying, "No, but... I guess it's scary..."
Ise is a woman who is knowledgeable about the various legends of a rural village. The show's official website describes the village as "apparently cursed."
Comments on social media included, "It can't be a ghost, can it!?", "It's been a while since I got chills!", "Total horror," "The way he appeared was totally like a monster," "Ise-san's demeanor is so eerie," "It's not just scary, it's creepy," "It made a big impact," "The atmosphere changed in an instant," "I wonder if Ise-san will tell us some ghost stories or folklore from Kumamoto?" and "This could be a good topic for Heaven Sensei."
