Ikeda reflected on the recording, saying, "What really surprised me was that he started calling himself Katsushika Hokusai when he was 46 years old, and as I'm also a member of Nogizaka46, I felt a connection. I was doubly surprised that he started calling himself that when he was 46, so it left a lasting impression on me."
He also mentioned that Hokusai used the pen name "Gakyou Roujin Manji" in his later years, and Ikeda was surprised, saying, "When a person reaches their limit, they become 'Gakyou Roujin Manji'..."
