The winners and winning works of the 20th Seiyuu Awards, which recognize the most active voice actors of the year, have been announced, and it has been revealed that the "Idolmaster" series won the Synergy Award. Shinichiro Kamio and Rei Sakuma were selected for the Toyama Kei and Takahashi Kazue Award, which is given to voice actors who have been active in various fields, including appearing in works.
Arno Tahara and Keiko Yokozawa received the Lifetime Achievement Award, which is given to voice actors who have contributed to many genres, including foreign films, over the years. Nami Mizuno, who voiced Miyakumyaku, the official character for the Osaka-Kansai Expo, was selected for the Special Award. Some of the winners and their works were announced ahead of the award ceremony on March 15th.
The Seiyuu Awards were established in 2006 and are co-sponsored by KADOKAWA, Nippon Cultural Broadcasting, and Shogakukan Shueisha Productions. Selections for categories other than MVS are made by the Executive Committee and Selection Committee. The 20th awards will be open to voice actors who appeared in works broadcast, streamed, or released between October 1, 2024 and September 30, 2025. Park Romi and Hirano Aya will serve as ambassadors.
