To celebrate the release of the music unit DREAMS COME TRUE's first original album in about nine years, "THE BLACK ◯ ALBUM" (on sale March 18th), WOWOW has been broadcasting and streaming special programs for 12 consecutive months since January. The content of the program on March 21st has been revealed.
The program, titled "DREAMS COME TRUE "THE BLACK ◯ ALBUM" Special," will be broadcast on WOWOW Live from 10 PM on March 21st and streamed on WOWOW On Demand (archived streaming will be available for three weeks after the broadcast/streaming ends). The special program will delve into "THE BLACK ◯ ALBUM," the band's first original album in about nine years since their 18th album, "THE DREAM QUEST," released in 2017.
"THE BLACK ◯ ALBUM" will be a "one piece of music" that has been carefully designed down to the opening, ending, song order, and the connections between songs. In addition to new songs, music videos will be released for many of the songs released over the past nine years that will be included on the album. In addition, it will include a newly filmed interview in which Yoshida Miwa and Nakamura Masato talk extensively about their thoughts on the album and stories from its production. Starting at 7:30 PM on February 9th, WOWOW Live and WOWOW On Demand will broadcast and stream live documentary footage of Dreams Come True's Miwa Yoshida's first solo album tour in 1996, titled "miwa yoshida concert tour beauty and harmony." The tour, held in support of her 1995 solo album "beauty and harmony," featured Harvey Mason (drums), David T. Walker (guitar), Chuck Rainey (bass), Ralph MacDonald (percussion), Greg Adams (trumpet), Jai Winding (keyboards), and Eric Marienthal (saxophone). The newly remastered footage will include rare live documentary footage, including interviews and rehearsal footage, from the concert tour held at Orchard Hall (Shibuya Ward, Tokyo).

"miwa yoshida 'totsun no chiisai' tour of beauty & harmony 2" (broadcast on WOWOW Live from midnight on March 22nd, available on WOWOW On Demand, archived for three weeks): This is a broadcast of the performance held at Zepp Fukuoka (Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City) on May 13th, 2003. This premium live performance was only available to 0.0005% of Japan's population, and features Yoshida singing freely and beautifully in this super session, with plenty of solo parts from legendary super musicians (guitar: David T. Walker, bass: Chuck Rainey, drums: Omar Hakim, piano: David Benoit).
"DREAMS COME TRUE beauty and harmony LIVE in LOVE SUPREME JAZZ FESTIVAL JAPAN 2022" (scheduled to air and stream in April, with a three-week archive available): This program will feature footage from the performance held at Chichibu Muse Park (Chichibu City, Saitama Prefecture) on May 14, 2022. LOVE SUPREME JAZZ FESTIVAL, Europe's largest outdoor jazz festival, has been held annually since 2013 in East Sussex, UK. Dreams Come True's first Japanese edition, "LOVE SUPREME JAZZ FESTIVAL JAPAN 2022," was held at Chichibu Muse Park, with Dreams Come True serving as headliner. Yoshida's recording work "beauty and harmony" was performed alongside some of the world's leading musicians, including Hiromi Uehara, who performed with him for the first time in 13 years. Chris Coleman (drums), Masayoshi Furukawa (guitar), and Tomoaki Baba (saxophone) also performed.
