On February 13th, Friday Roadshow (Nippon TV, Friday 9pm) will broadcast the terrestrial television premiere of "Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" (2023, US, UK), an uncut, 25-minute extended version that depicts the younger days of Willy Wonka, the factory owner from Roald Dahl's children's novel "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory."
Wonka (Hanamura Sota) dreams of opening the world's best chocolate shop, as he promised his late mother. Wonka's magical chocolate, the most delicious in the world and capable of flying, captivates everyone in town. However, this is a town where dreaming is forbidden. Jealous of his talent, Wonka catches the eye of the "Chocolate Guild Trio."
Furthermore, a small orange gentleman named Oompa Loompa (Matsudaira Ken) appears and steals Wonka's chocolate. Will Wonka be able to build his chocolate shop safely?
Starting next week, Friday Roadshow will be broadcasting the first film, "Golden Kamuy," and a specially edited version of the drama series, "Golden Kamuy: The Battle for the Hokkaido Tattooed Prisoners," for two consecutive weeks ahead of the release (March 13th) of the latest live-action film based on the popular comic "Golden Kamuy."
