A three-hour special of TV Asahi's popular variety show "Ame Talk!" will air on July 2nd at 7 PM. On this day, the "Railway Fan Club" will be held for the first time in two years. Familiar members such as Reiji Nakagawa of "Nakagawa-ke," talents Yoshizumi Ishihara and Saya Ichikawa, and enka singer Yuki Tokunaga will present the ever-evolving charm and exciting moments of railways to Toru Hotohara, Satoshi Iizuka of "Tokyo 03," and actress Miori Takimoto.
The program will feature a succession of segments, including "new train models for 2026," "local train lines scheduled for closure," "trams that venture into XX," and "stations with spectacular ocean views." Viewers will also get a glimpse of Reiji, Yoshikawa from "Darling Honey," and Horipro employee Yusuke Minamida's "Kumamoto Railway Exploration Tour."
In "Dream Three-Line Simultaneous Crossing," they will attempt to capture the moment when the Keihan Main Line, the Tokaido Shinkansen, and the JR conventional lines cross simultaneously in Kyoto. There will also be presentations on more niche topics such as "Double Reflection Trains," where you reflect your own train in buildings or oncoming trains; "Gap Trains," where you capture trains through all sorts of gaps in the city; and "Mirror Trains," where you take stunning photos of trains reflected in mirrors.
The 3-hour special will also feature "Comedians Who Love Showa-era Sweets."
