It has been announced that "Koi Suru (Otome) no Tsukurikata," a manga by Azusa Banjo currently serialized in the web manga magazine "comic POOL" (Ichijinsha), will be adapted into a TV anime.
The series is an "emotional and heartwarming" romantic comedy about a boy who loves cosmetics and a cross-dressing boy. The story begins when Midou, a high school boy who loves cosmetics, can no longer contain his desire to try out the makeup skills he has cultivated on someone, and decides to do the makeup of his childhood friend, Hiura, also a high school boy.
The series gained attention through social media posts and is currently serialized on "comic POOL," with a cumulative total of approximately 600,000 copies sold. It has also been generating buzz by ranking highly in events such as the "WEB Manga General Election 10th Anniversary Special Edition" and the "AnimeJapan Manga We Want to See Animated Ranking 2024."
Original author Azusa Banjo commented, "My romantic comedy 'How to Make a Girl Fall in Love,' featuring a boy who loves cosmetics and a cross-dressing boy, is getting an anime adaptation! ! This is all thanks to everyone who has supported me so far, thank you so much...! I am incredibly happy that I was able to make an anime adaptation of a story with a theme I've always wanted to write about: 'a cross-dressing heroine who is head over heels for the protagonist.' I'm sure that Hiura will be even cuter when he moves and speaks! ! I sincerely hope that Hiura and the others will become characters loved by even more people than before." A newly drawn illustration was also released.
