Additional cast members have been announced for the TV anime "The Furious Young Lady Swore Revenge. ~I Will Crush My Homeland with the Power of a Grimoire~," based on the light novel from HJ Novels (Hobby Japan) that won the "HJ Novel Award 2021 First Half." It has been revealed that Asami Seto and Kenji Akabane will be joining the cast. Seto will play Roselia Fadgar, the daughter of the prestigious Fadgar ducal family and a talented young woman who achieved the second-best grades in her student days, after the protagonist Elisabeth. Akabane will play Roberto Arty, a knight of the Crown Prince's Royal Guard who is at the mercy of the capricious orders of Fried.
Seto said, "I get the impression that Roselia is a clever woman, just like Elisabeth. She takes over the work left behind by Elisabeth when she leaves the country, and I feel that she is a hard worker who is fed up with the useless Fried. She is someone who can firmly and strictly tell people things that others cannot say, so she can come across as haughty, but I made sure that everything she does is logical and that she can exert an undeniable pressure."
Akabane commented, "I tried my best to portray Roberto's feelings carefully, as he maintains his beliefs as a knight while being swayed by the changing circumstances around him. I can't say what happens next because it would be a spoiler, but no matter what happens, I'm on his side...!!!"
A special program titled "The Enraged Young Lady Swore Revenge. ~I Will Crush My Homeland with the Power of the Grimoire~ Pre-Broadcast Special ~Tonight, I Will Go Completely Furious! SP~" featuring the main cast members Saori Onishi Ikumi Hasegawa, Ikumi Hasegawa, Yui Ogura, and Ayumi Uehara will air on AT-X on June 29th at 10 PM.
"The Enraged Young Lady Swears Revenge" is a light novel written by Hagure Metabo and illustrated by Masami. It's a revenge fantasy about Elisabeth, a beautiful genius young lady who is suddenly dumped by the Crown Prince and imprisoned. Armed with the most powerful grimoire, she uses her connections, finances, and military power to take revenge on her traitors. It has also been adapted into a manga.
The anime will be directed by Naoyuki Kuzuya and produced by Studio Comet. Onishi will voice the main character, Elisabeth Leiston/Ellie Leist. It will air on TV Tokyo and other channels starting July 6th.
