A new visual, "VS Whyman Visual," has been released for the fourth and final season of the TV anime "Dr.STONE," titled "Dr.STONE SCIENCE FUTURE," which is based on the manga serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha).
The visual, released following the June 18th broadcast of episode 36, "WHYMAN," depicts Senku facing off against the sinister-looking Whymans in the final battle for the fate of all humanity. The final episode, episode 37, "The One Who Incites the Future," will air on June 25th.
Koichi Yamadera, who plays the role of Whyman, commented, "I am deeply honored to be able to participate in this work, which has a unique worldview and has been loved for many years. As one of the people playing the unique role of Whyman, I tried to study the work as best I could, but the scale is just too grand! (sweat) I would be happy if I could help make the story exciting."
Kotono Mitsuishi, who plays the role of Whyman, said, "I am Kotono Mitsuishi, the mysterious Whyman. The climax is finally on the moon. Whyman is a life form completely different from humans, but I found it interesting that the leader, vice-leader, conservatives, extremists, and newcomers all had their own personalities. I was happy that the leader was voiced by Yamadera. Using other species to ensure the survival of one's own species is a common practice in the natural world. Although it's a machine, it gave me a very lifelike impression."
"Dr.STONE" is a manga series written by Riichiro Inagaki of "Eyeshield 21" fame, with artwork by Boichi of "Sun-Ken Rock" and "ORIGIN" fame.
