The ninth episode of the drama series "Galaxy Vote" (Kansai TV/Fuji TV, Mondays at 10 PM), starring actress Haru Kuroki, aired on June 15th. A scene in which Ryusei, played by Kohei Matsushita, hears a story about the "villain" in "Night on the Galactic Railroad" became a hot topic on social media.
◇The following contains spoilers.
"Has it finally sold? 'Night on the Galactic Railroad' that's been here all this time?"
Pointing to a shelf in the used bookstore, Ryusei asked, and the shopkeeper replied, "Yes, last month." The shopkeeper revealed that the person who bought the book had said they had disliked "Night on the Galactic Railroad" since childhood, and explained the reason: "The villain's name is in my (the buyer's) name."
After hearing the buyer's information, Ryusei seemed to realize something and tried to ask for more details, saying, "Um, who is that person?", but Shizukuishi (Makiya Yamaguchi) called him away, and the conversation ended there.
Ryusei had previously heard from Mari (Kuroki) about a "letter of accusation" that had arrived at Takaomi's (Bando Yajuro) doorstep. It was a newspaper clipping reporting the death of Dean Niizaneri of Naranoki Medical University, along with a note that read, "You killed him." Mari had said of Niizaneri, "I thought it could be read as Zaneri. He's the boy who appears in 'Night on the Galactic Railroad'."
In "Night on the Galactic Railroad," a bully named "Zanelli" appears. Some viewers speculated that this "Zanelli" might be "Niiza Neri," and the discussion on social media was lively with comments such as, "Could it be Niiza Neri, the dean who fell to his death? Is Zanelli still alive somewhere!?", "I think it's probably the dean, but surely there's no way he's still alive," "If he's already dead, then who is it?", "Could the person who bought 'Night on the Galactic Railroad' at the used bookstore and sent the anonymous letter be a relative of the dean?", "Are Zanelli's relatives at the used bookstore?", and "Niiza President = Zanelli!? I never noticed."
The drama is an "election entertainment" story in which Mari Hoshino recruits Akari Tsukioka, a bar owner with no political experience, to run for governor of Tokyo, and takes on the gubernatorial election as her campaign strategist.
