The ninth episode of the TBS Friday drama "Takusari Brothers," starring actor Masaki Okada and also featuring Shota Sometani, aired on June 12th. Various theories have been circulating on social media regarding the perpetrator who murdered the parents of Makoto (Okada) and Minoru (Sometani).
◇The following contains spoilers.
Makoto and Minoru learn the truth about their parents' murder. 31 years ago, Sadao (Hidekazu Nagae) was secretly manufacturing guns to raise money for his wife Fumi's (Atsuko Sendo) leg surgery, but their father, Sakutaro (Masato Wada), found out.
Sakutaro told Sadao to turn himself in, but Sadao refused. When Sakutaro brought out the "evidence" to inform the police of the truth, the illegal gun deal was called off. The fisherman involved in the deal was killed. Cornered, Sadao pleaded with Detective Sasaoka (Yuurei Yanagi) and used Mogi, nicknamed "Mocchan" (Takashi Yamanaka), to kill his parents...that was the sequence of events.
In a scene recounting the day of the incident, we saw Mogi entering the Tagasari house with a knife, but there was no decisive moment to prove he committed the crime. On social media, comments such as "I wonder if Mogi really killed the Tagasari couple," "There was no decisive scene, so I want to believe Mogi wasn't the one who did it," "It seems like there's another perpetrator besides Mogi," and "I don't think Mogi was the one who did it" spread.
Furthermore, regarding the "real perpetrator," some have suggested on social media that "they tried to get Mocchan to deal with the Tagasari parents, but ultimately couldn't, and Sadao, who had anticipated this, was the one who carried it out, returning to the factory before Mocchan," "I think the Igarashi group went to deliver the final blow," and "How about Sasaoka being the one who carried it out? Sasaoka did it because Mocchan didn't seem capable of it."
