The synopsis and still images for episode 10 of the Fuji TV Getsuku drama "Saba-can, Uchuu e Iku" (Mondays at 9pm), starring actor Takumi Kitamura , have been released. The episode will air on June 15th.
The canned mackerel developed by students from Wakasa Obama High School, including Ruka Terao (played by Aoi Ito), was not approved for certification after a year and a half of storage testing.
However, Ruka and the others' words, "We're entrusting our dream to our juniors!", moved the hearts of their juniors. Fujikura Ayaka (played by Ikehata Anji), Mizutani Yui (played by Minami Kotona), Kise Noa (played by Aoto Nijiko), and Sakuraba Misaki (played by Yokota Mako), who were initially uninterested in the space food mackerel can project, ended up taking on that dream.
Using the "black notebook" that has been written in since the time of teachers like Nami Sugawara ( Natsuki Deguchi) as a reference, Ayaka and her classmates continue their practical training. They take on the challenge of improving the "taste" and "softness" of their products so that they do not change even during long-term storage, as pointed out by Makoto Kijima (Ryunosuke Kamiki) of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA).
However, unlike Ayaka, who was enthusiastic about it as "her own dream," for Noa and the others, launching canned mackerel into space was "their seniors' dream." This misunderstanding began to affect their work.
Meanwhile, Shunichi Asano (played by Kitamura), who had become the head of the grade level, was facing the possibility of being transferred to the Board of Education. Nami had mixed feelings when Shunichi confided in her that he might leave the school once the space food was certified.
And finally, Kijima and Minagawa Yuki (Sonim) visit the school to conduct the final selection.
The drama is an original coming-of-age story based on the true story of students at a fisheries high school in Fukui Prefecture who challenged themselves to achieve their big dream of "developing space food."
