Former Nogizaka46 idol group member and actress Ami Nojo and Kabuki actor Nakamura Hashinosuke held their wedding ceremony and reception at Hotel New Otani (Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo) on May 30th. At a joint press conference after the ceremony, when asked for their thoughts, Nojo said, "It really sank in when we had the Shinto ceremony," while Hashinosuke smiled and said, "Ami wore a white kimono, and we performed the San-San-Kudo ritual together. Until now, it was a scene I had only seen (as a guest), but I was surprised to be on the other side and felt truly happy."
When Hashinosuke revealed that he was more nervous during the wedding ceremony, Nojo confirmed, "You were more nervous than me. Your hands were shaking, weren't they?" Hashinosuke thanked her, saying, "When I took out the ring, I thought, 'Oh no, my hands are shaking,' but (Nojo) managed to slip it in smoothly."
Regarding Hashinosuke, Nojo gushed, "I made eye contact with him a few times during the Shinto wedding ceremony, and he watched over me warmly and gently, with such a fatherly presence (laughs)." She added, "I was reminded of his kindness, and it made me even more determined to work hard after joining the Narikomaya family."
When asked for his thoughts on Nojo's appearance in a white wedding kimono, Hashinosuke smiled shyly and said, "It's beautiful." When Nojo urged him to say more, Hashinosuke praised her again, saying, "It's beautiful."
Throughout the press conference, Hashinosuke kept his eyes on Nojo, but when reporters pointed out that he looked away only when he called her beautiful, he scratched his head and said, "I'm a little shy..." before shyly telling Nojo once more, "You're beautiful."
When asked what they've come to appreciate about each other since becoming husband and wife, Nojo smiled and said, "There are times when I feel discouraged because there are so many things I don't understand, and at those times I rely on (Hashinosuke), but he is kind and warm, and embraces me gently like a father. I think every day that I'm so glad I married Hashinosuke."
Hashinosuke also nodded, saying, "Above all, the fact that Aimi has become my wife and married into the Narikomaya family is definitely a source of strength for me." He added with renewed determination, "From here on, we must work hard together as the 'Hashinosuke family.' It is important for both Aimi and the Narikomaya family that I move forward and lead the way, so I have reaffirmed my resolve to move forward properly."
The two met while co-starring in a stage production, dated for about four and a half years, and announced their engagement in November 2025. This April, they announced their marriage, stating, "We have officially registered our marriage."
