The eighth episode of the drama series "Aku no Hana" (TV Tokyo and others, Thursdays at midnight), starring actor Fuku Suzuki and singer Ano, will air on the night of May 28th. The drama is based on the manga of the same name by Shuzo Oshimi, which was serialized in "Bessatsu Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha) from 2009 to 2014, recorded a cumulative circulation of 3.25 million copies, and was nominated for the "Manga Taisho" award. It depicts the "reckless behavior" of adolescent boys and girls.
In episode 8, Nakamura's unprecedented confession leads Kasuga to decide to throw away his future life. On the day of the summer festival, the two of them stand on the stage, each holding a single knife, thrusting it towards the crowd and shouting. The police arrive, but they look down at the crowd with ecstatic expressions, dousing themselves in kerosene and continuing to scream out their pent-up feelings. With a lighter in hand and their resolve solidified, what did Kasuga see, and what did Nakamura see...?
