It has been announced that all 23 episodes of Seasons 1 and 2 of the new TV anime series "Kinnikuman : Perfect Origin Arc, " based on the popular fighting manga " Kinnikuman ," will be streamed sequentially on YouTube starting May 29th. The streaming is being done to commemorate " Kinnikuman Day" on May 29th. This will be the first time that the main story of the new series will be released on YouTube.
Episodes 0-5 will be streamed from May 29th to June 12th, episodes 6-11 from June 12th to 26th, episodes 12-17 from June 26th to July 10th, and episodes 18-22 from July 10th to 24th.
The "Perfect Origin Arc" is a popular storyline that continues from the "Kinniku Star Royal Succession Arc," depicting a three-way battle between the Perfect Infinite Army, a new threat, and the Justice Chojin and Mamoru Miyano Chojin armies. The anime is produced by Production IG. Daisuke Ono voices Kinnikuman, with Sumire Uesaka as Meat-kun and Daisuke Ono as Terryman among the cast. Season 1 aired from July to September 2024, and Season 2 aired from January to March 2025. The production of Season 3 has also been announced.
" Kinnikuman" is a popular fighting manga by Yudetamago, serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from 1979 to 1987. It depicts Kinnikuman, the useless prince of Kinniku Star, fighting evil superheroes alongside other heroes. A sequel, "Kinnikuman II," began serialization in "Weekly Playboy" (also Shueisha) in 1998. In 2011, the serialization of "Kinnikuman" resumed after approximately 24 years, which also became a hot topic, and it is currently being serialized in "Weekly Playboy" and "ShuPla NEWS." In 2013, the series reached its 100th volume. In April 1983, a TV anime adaptation began airing, achieving an average viewership rating of approximately 20%. Seven theatrical anime films were also produced. The original manga series has sold over 77 million copies in total.
