On May 29th, Friday Road Show (Nippon Television Network, Fridays at 9 PM) will broadcast three Disney films uncut: "Peter Pan" (1953, USA), "Frozen Fever" (2015, USA), and "Rapunzel's Wedding" (2011, USA).
◇Peter Pan
Peter Pan (Mitsuo Iwata) sneaks into the bedroom of siblings Wendy (Yuriko Fuchizaki), John (Makoto Ikeda), and Michael (Kazuki Suzuki), who live in London, in search of his own shadow. The three, who have always admired Peter Pan, who never grows up, are lifted into the sky by the magic dust of the fairy Tinkerbell and taken to Neverland, the island of dreams. There, Captain Hook (Chikao Otsuka), a pirate whose left arm was cut off by Peter Pan, is plotting revenge.
◇Frozen / Elsa's Surprise
With Anna's (Sayaka Kanda) birthday approaching, Elsa (Takako Matsu) plans a surprise party. With the help of Kristoff (Shinichiro Hara) and Olaf (Shunsuke Takeuchi), Elsa strings red threads throughout the castle and prepares presents everywhere. She tries to celebrate Anna's birthday by following the red threads, but every time Elsa sneezes, tiny snowmen called Snowgies appear...
◇Rapunzel's Wedding
The whole country is in a frenzy as Rapunzel (Shoko Nakagawa) and Flynn (Hiroshi Hatanaka) are about to get married. However, the moment Flynn's partner Maximus sneezes while carrying the wedding rings, they roll out of the church. Rapunzel's chameleon companion Pascal and Maximus rush out of the church to retrieve the rings, but the two cause a huge commotion in the town.
Next week, on Friday, June 5th, Friday Road Show will air "The Goonies" (1985, USA), a film conceived and executive produced by the legendary Steven Spielberg, with an extended 5-minute runtime.
