The third episode of NHK's "Drama 10 'Convenience Store Brothers: Tenderness Mojiko Kogane Village Branch'" (NHK General, Tuesdays at 10 PM), starring Kento Nakajima, will air on May 12th. The subtitle for this episode is "Melancholic Strawberry Parfait".
"Convenience Store Brothers" is based on the novel of the same name by Sonoko Machida. It is a heartwarming and mysterious human comedy set in a convenience store in Mojiko, Kitakyushu City. The script is written by Nonji Nemoto, known for his work on NHK's Asadora drama series "Omusubi" (second half of 2024) and the drama 10 series "Shijiki Fudosan". Nakajima plays Mitsuhiko Shiwa, a diligent convenience store manager who exudes an irresistible charm that captivates people of all ages.

In the third episode, Mihiko (Nakajima) is touched by the love for sweets of middle school student Azusa Higaki (Inagaki Kurumi) and plans a sweets fair at the shop.
Azusa's only pleasure is secretly eating sweets without telling her parents or friends. One day, she meets and becomes friends with Nayuta Taguchi (Chise Niitsu), an outcast in her class who is always wearing a tracksuit and often absent. As the two are eating sweets as usual, Mizuki Murai (Anna Hoshino), Nayuta's childhood friend and the queen of the class hierarchy, appears and severely scolds Azusa and Mizuki.
