She is a popular local celebrity who appears in commercials for her company's products and is a regular commentator on information programs.
Iwamoto's home is decorated with pink throughout, and she explains that she wants to "brighten people's lives through their living space and appearance, as I want to give them energy."
The kitchen is a place where she puts in a lot of thought; to avoid wasting time moving between rooms, she has a makeup counter attached to the kitchen so she can do her makeup or work in between cooking. The washing machine and dryer are also placed right next to it, demonstrating a thorough commitment to efficient workflow. She makes breakfast for her family in the mornings before going to work, and reveals that she deliberately does all the housework herself, saying, "It makes me feel alive when I do it myself."
At the company run by Ms. Iwamoto, creating a comfortable working environment for women has been a priority for over 30 years.
