Actress Momoko Fukuchi's NHK nighttime drama "Radio Star" (NHK General, Monday-Thursday 10:45 PM) will enter its seventh week starting May 11th.
"Radio Star" is a nonstop entertainment drama set in Noto, depicting how ordinary citizens become stars. The cast includes Masahiro Kohmoto, Kiyohiko Shibukawa, Shoma Kai, Kaito Oyagi, Shunsuke Kazama Kazama, Tsutomu Tamura, Takako Tokiwa Tokiwa, and Manami Ono from the idol group "Hinatazaka46". The theme song is "Fune Ippai no Sachi wo" (A Boat Full of Happiness), written and composed by Yumi Matsutoya and sung by MISIA.
In the seventh week, Radio Star faces financial difficulties. With fundraising efforts failing, Kanade (Fukuchi) decides to talk about "the survival of Radio Star" on the radio. Ono Sakura (Tokiwa) and Nishikawa (Shibukawa) share their feelings about radio, feelings that stem from surviving the earthquake.
Upon hearing this, Matsumoto (played by Kohmoto) makes up his mind and has an honest conversation with Fukuhara (played by Soganoya Bundo). Then things start to change. Scene cuts have also been released.
