The final screening event, "A Screening with Waka and Ryo," looking back at the first season of "Yoroiden Samurai Troopers," the new TV anime that is the legitimate sequel to the "Yoroiden Samurai Troopers" TV anime series which aired from April 1988 to March 1989, will be held on June 1st at Shinjuku Piccadilly (Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo). It has been announced that Hiroya Ishibashi, who plays Gai (aka "Blazing Guy"), and Takeshi Kusao, who plays Ryo Sanada (aka "Fiery Ryo"), will be in attendance. Episodes 9-12 will be screened, and Tetsuya Yanagihara of the comedy duo "America Zarigani" will serve as the MC.
The final episode of the voice mini-drama, "The Demon World Members Get Super Excited (2)," has been released on YouTube. The Ten Brave Warriors, Sasuke, Saizo, Kamanosuke, Seikai Nyudo, and Isanyudo, appear in the episode. The Ten Brave Warriors are intrigued by the "flat board" that Saizo brought back from the human world, and they try to uncover its true nature by relying on their memories of humans holding the board to their ears to make phone calls, take pictures, and type.
"Yoroiden Samurai Troopers" is the first new anime in approximately 35 years since the OVA "Yoroiden Samurai Troopers MESSAGE" released in 1991, and the first TV anime series in approximately 37 years. It is a completely original story set in present-day Shinjuku, directed by Yoichi Fujita, known for "Gintama" and "Mr. Osomatsu," with series composition and script by Shogo Muto, known for "Kamen Rider Build," "Crows Zero," and "Thermae Romae." It will be broadcast in two parts, with the first part airing from January to March. The second part will air from July.
"Ronin Warriors" is an anime produced by Sunrise that depicts five boys who possess "Yoroi Gear" (armored suits) being brought together by fate to fight against the demonic army led by the demon emperor Arago. The TV anime aired from April 1988 to March 1989, and due to its popularity, OVAs were also produced. "Ronin Warriors Gaiden" was released in 1989, "Ronin Warriors: Legend of the Shining Emperor" from 1989 to 1990, and "Ronin Warriors: Message" in 1991. A manga adaptation by Ryuichi Hoshino was serialized in "Comic Bonbon" (Kodansha).
